Welcome to my 4th episode of ‘Air Fryer Recipe’! Today we are making some rose shaped apple puff pastry. It looks very sophisticated but it is very easy to make.

Please note, different air fryer might have a slightly different performance. However, I foundRose shaped apple puff pastry one that is similar to the one I have and has the best rating on Amazon. Here is what I found
Philips HD9220/20 Healthier Oil Free Airfryer (For UK), BLACK+DECKER HF110SBD 2-Liter Oil Free Air Fryer (For US)

Ingredients

Apple, lemon juice, jam, water, puff pastry, gold glitter (optional)

Steps

  1. Slice an apple into thin slices.
  2. Put all the slices into a bowl, pour in some lemon juice and water (1:1) until it covers the all the slices in the bowl. Microwave the slices at 800 watts for a minute.
  3. Prepare puff pastry, roll it out into long thin rectangular shape. Put slices along the long edge of the rectangular pastry. Half of the slices should stick out of pastry. When adding the next slice, it should always overlap with the previous slice by a little bit.
  4. Put a teaspoon of jam in the middle of the pastry and spread it along the bottom of slices. Fold the pastry in half and roll it into a flower shape.Secure the end with a toothpick. Repeat step 3&4 to make more apple pastries.
  5. Pre-heat the air fryer to 160°C/320°F for 5mins. Place a piece of baking paper to the bottom of the air fryer basket.
  6. Put all the pastries into the air fryer basket. Leave some space between the pastries. Cook it under 160°C/320°F for 15~20mins. Because different air fryer might have different performance, remember to check regularly.
  7. Take out all the pastries and leave it to cool down. Spray some eatable gold glitter on top of the pastry (optional).Ready to serve.

Here is a video version of what I just wrote above 🙂 Watch it if you have unlimited internet or wifi.  Printer-able recipe is at the bottom of the post.
