Air Fryer Recipe – Sweet Potato Crisps/Chips

Welcome to my 3rd episode of ‘Air Fryer Recipe’! Today we are making some sweet potato crisps, or what my American friends call sweet potato chips. I am very sorry for the delay in posting as I normally post every Monday. I am in China with my family right now preparing for the Chinese New Year! To my dear readers – Happy Chinese New Year!! This year Chinese New Year is on 28th Jan, we are entering the Year of Rooster. Just a little fact of the day for you in case you do not already know. OK, without further due, let me show you how to do this sweet potato crisps/chips.

Please note, different air fryer might have a slightly different performance. However, I found one that is similar to the one I have and has the best rating on Amazon. Ingredients

Sweet potato, lemon, salt, oil

Steps

  1. Peel the sweet potato and then use a slicer to slice the sweet potato into thin slices.
  2. Put all the slices into a bowl, squeeze in some lemon juice, add some salt and oil. Mix everything well together. While doing this, pre-heat the air fryer to 170°C/338°F for 5mins.
  3. Put all the slices into the air fryer basket. Separate the slices as much as possible. Cook it under 170°C/338°F for 20mins. Because different air fryer might have different performance, remember to check regularly and separate the slices once in a while.
  4. Take out all the crisps and leave it to cool down. Ready to serve.
