Welcome to my 5th episode of 15mins Home Food! Today we are making spicy tofu. This is a less spicy version of the famous Chinese dish ‘Ma Po Tofu’. Get Chinese takeaway food made at home in less than 15mins. Are you ready?  Here is what you need

Ingredient

Mushroom , carrot, spring onion, pork mince, pepper, aubergine, tofu, alcohol, oil, salt, garlic, ginger, Ma Po Tofu Sauce

Steps

  1. FryTofu Recipe garlic and ginger for a few second, add in pork mince. Fry everything together until pork mince is ~90% cooked, add in 1 teaspoon salt.
  2. Add in diced aubergine, aubergine tends to suck up a lot of oil. If the oil produced by the mince is not enough, add in a bit more oil. When all the aubergine cubes coated with oil, you can move to next step.
  3. Add diced pepper and 1 teaspoon of salt, stir regularly.
  4. Add in sliced mushrooms and tofu pieces, and then add in 4 tablespoons of Ma Po Tofu sauce, mixed it well with all ingredients.
  5. Mix in shredded carrot and top it up with some chopped spring onions. Ready to serve.

Recipe Notes

Great to serve with rice. Ma Po Tofu sauce can be a bit spicy, you can put more salt and less Ma Po Tofu sauce to make the dish less spicy.
