15min Home Food Episode 1 Sausage Casserole

Hello and welcome to my first ever food recipe post. I want to create a series of home food recipes that will only take 15mins to prepare. Sometimes the whole process can take up for a few hours if oven/slow cooker is involved, but the time needed for you to prepare/chop/stir etc is only 15mins. I find that normally, after work I do not have a lot of time to cook or I am simply too tired to spend a long time cooking. I do not want to go out for dinner or get takeaways all the time, that cost a lot of money. I do not want to reach out for microwave food always because choices are quite limited and I get bored quite quickly. Therefore, I start to pay attention to things that are easy to prepare and most importantly, yummy at the same time. This is why I decide to start 15mins Home Food series.

This is the first episode of my 15mins Home Food. I hope you enjoy this recipe, do take a picture and tag me on Instagram if you tried this recipe. If you have any suggestions on the recipe, leave a feedback, I would love to know what you think.

Ingredientssausage casserole

A pack of sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, pepper, frozen onions, sausage casserole seasoning pack, salt, oil

Steps

  1. Fry sausages till they are 70% cooked, while you are frying them, cut tomatoes, mushrooms, and peppers into small pieces. Also, prepare rice in the rice cooker. This is a great time to test your multitasking skills. Remember, multitasking is the key here to make sure you get preparation work done within 15min. Oh and remember to turn the sausages every now and then so they do not get burnt.
  2. Take sausages out of the pan and cut them into small pieces, then add them back into the pan.
  3. Add all vegetables into the pan to fry with the sausage pieces.
  4. After everything is properly mixed together, add in your favorite sausage casserole seasoning pack. Stir everything until you cannot see seasoning powders.
  5. All done! I love my sausage casserole with rice. If you like potatoes or pasta with it, make sure in step 1 you prepare potatoes/pasta instead of rice.

Here is a video version of what I just said 🙂 Watch it if you have unlimited internet or wifi. Printer-able recipe is at the bottom of the post.
